On this page, these are temples to Shiva, in small, out-of-the way places. Our teachers took the group to these un-touristy sites for a sense of the heart of Indian sprituality.
These statues are inside the temple on the left. (Shiva is often shown with blue skin.) That's Shakti, the feminine principle, on the right.
